Sucia Island Marine State Park | Washington State Parks
Sucia has 48 mooring buoys, two linear moorage systems and two docks. These are found at the following locations around the island: Echo Bay; Ewing Cove; Fossil Bay; Fox Cove; Shallow Bay; Snoring Bay; Dock 2 is removed from October - April to prevent storm damage. Mooring buoys remain in place all year.
State Parks closes 35 mooring buoys
Even though individual buoys will close, the impacted parks will still have other mooring buoys available for use. Parks maintains 259 mooring buoys at 40 parks across Puget Sound, Hood Canal, the Kitsap and Olympic Peninsulas and San Juan Islands. Of these parks, 16 will be affected by partial buoy closures.
